| A
common and widely used practice for assembling components that are to be balanced is that
of heating or freezing parts to facilitate their assembly onto hard arbors prior to
balancing, then pressing them off after balancing. This procedure is time consuming,
inexact and has limited repeatability at best. Although accepted for decades as the method
of choice, it is not conducive to modern quality, repeatability and traceability systems
such as SPC used in today's ISO cultures. Kell-Strom's Hydraulic Balancing Adapters overcome
these and other problems associated with old style solid arbors and are the tool of choice
for aircraft engine components as well as other precision balancing or work holding
requirements. |
