ENGINE WASH RIGS

Regularly cleaning fuel nozzles with a Kell-Strom wash rig reduces fuel costs by increasing an aircraft engines efficiency. Yet, for some aircraft owners, standard cleaning rigs, built by Kell-Strom and others, may not always fit the bill. That's why Allison Aircraft Engine Company came to us seeking modifications to one of our standard wash rigs to meet the demands of its AE2100 engine.

KS5562 WASH RIG

Allison was having a problem with the engine's fuel nozzle and need to boost the wash rig's pressure. While our original rig supplies standard shop air pressure of 90-100 psi to clean the fuel nozzles, Allison wanted 250-300 psi for it's AE2100 nozzles. The Kell-Strom solution: modify the standard unit by adding a separate pump and the necessary controls to boost the wash rig's pressure.

The new wash rig is now available. In addition, Kell-Strom can modify the wash rig further to meet your exact specifications. Contact Kell-Strom for further information on wash rigs
